Where the Creativity Type Test comes from
Ellis Paul Torrance developed the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking in 1966, building on J. P. Guilford's distinction between divergent and convergent thinking.
How the Creativity Type Test is scored
A profile across creative approaches. The durable finding from this literature is that creativity needs both modes — divergent thinking to generate options and convergent thinking to select among them — and that people are rarely equally strong at both.
