Relationship tests look at the patterns you bring to closeness: how you respond when someone pulls away, how you show affection, what you need to feel secure. They describe a pattern you learned, and patterns can be unlearned.
What love & relationships tests measure
Attachment assessments place you along two dimensions — anxiety about abandonment and avoidance of intimacy — which produce the familiar secure, anxious, avoidant and fearful descriptions. Love-language style tests sort how you prefer to give and receive affection. Compatibility and conflict measures look at how two people's patterns interact, which is often more informative than either person's result alone, because the friction usually lives in the combination rather than in one partner.
How to choose the right one
Start with attachment style if you notice the same dynamic repeating across different relationships — it tends to explain more than anything else here. Take a love-language test if you and a partner both feel like you are trying hard and neither feels it. Do the comparison tests together rather than separately: the result is a conversation starter, and it works considerably better when nobody is being diagnosed in their absence.
What these results can't tell you
These are self-report questionnaires about how you see yourself, and people are not always accurate narrators of their own behaviour in conflict. Attachment style is not fixed — it shifts with relationships and with deliberate effort. No result here identifies abuse, predicts whether a relationship will last, or substitutes for couples therapy.
